~ About IT ~

IT is a monster that lives in the sewers under Derry, Maine. It wakes up every 27 years to eat kids (mostly). It can turn into whatever you are most scared of, but its favorite look is Pennywise the Dancing Clown, because clowns are funny and kids trust clowns. (Kids should NOT trust clowns.)

It gives out red balloons. If you see one floating by itself, run. In 1988 it got Georgie by the storm drain on Witcham Street. The Losers Club found it in 1989 and beat it, then came back as grown-ups in 2016 to finish the job. IT is scared of people who are brave together, which is the actual secret.

Book by Stephen King (1986). Miniseries 1990 (Tim Curry). Movies 2017 & 2019 (Bill Skarsgård). The book is 1,138 pages and I have read the important parts.

~ 27 Facts (ok, 7) ~

IT wakes up every 27 years. The 2017 movie came out 27 years after the 1990 miniseries. That was on purpose.
Pennywise's real form is the Deadlights. If you look at them you go crazy. Do not look at them.
The paper boat Georgie loses is the S.S. Georgie. Bill made it with paraffin wax.
The turtle is named Maturin and he is on IT's side, sort of. He is in the book, not the movies.
Derry is not real but it is based on Bangor, Maine, where Stephen King lives.
Bill Skarsgård can make his lip do the Pennywise thing without CGI.
I have never seen a single red balloon in Deep Creek Lake. Yet.
